It's amazing how a cartoon can be so true. Snoopy was absolutely right. My respect to a dog who understands the writing world better than most of us writers probably do!!!
Some days, you barely squeeze a paragraph out onto the page. But, don't get discouraged! That paragraph could be the launching pad for the rest of the book! Writing is basically painting a picture using the alphabet. Some days, you may be focusing only on the background instead of the main focal point. But all together, it creates a complete package. So brave those stormy nights when words are difficult to pen down! You may find that the hardest things to write, might actually become the best piece of prose you've ever written...
